Animals are multi cellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia. All types of animal are motile which means they can move independently and spontaneously from the point of their lives. All animals are heterotrophs. Most known animal phyla marine species. Animals are sub dived into various sub-groups like vertebrates, mollusks, arthropods, annelids, sponges and fishes. These sub groups are sub classified in to their respective groups.

As animals are heterotrophs, it means they feed on living organism directly or indirectly. Again these are sub divided into herbivores, carnivores, omnivores and parasites. Generally all animals are predators. It means they hunt for food on other living organisms. In general extinction of some animals had taken place since some year due to variations in the earth.

Animals are generally considered to have evolved from a flagellated eukaryote. Animals which are living close to hydrothermal vents and cold seeps on ocean floor will not depend on energy of sunlight. Animals are divided into two broad groups: vertebrates and invertebrates. Vertebrates are animals which have back bone.  Invertebrates are animals which do not have backbone. There are different types of animals in the world. 1. Star Fish:

Scientific name of star fish is Asteroidea. It is classified into higher classification of Asterozoa. Starfish are sea stars which are in star shape. These are even called by other names like basket stars and brittle stars. There are about 1500 species of starfish on the seabed all over the world. They are marine invertebrates. These are opportunistic feeders. They can regenerate the damaged parts or shed parts on their own. Life span varies in species. They eat on other small animals.

2. Frog:

Scientific name of frog is Anura. It is classified under the classification Salientia. Frogs also comes under animals  group. Frogs are large carnivores and are diverse. They are short-bodied and tail less amphibian. There are about 4,800 species present in the world.  This is the first most vertebrate in order. Its body length will be of 5.5cm. It is three chambered heart. Locomotion of frog are jumping, walking, running, swimming, burrowing, climbing, and gliding. Clutch size of the toads will be of 3000-6000. Life span of a toad is 10-12 years.

3. Salamander:

Scientific name of salamander is Caudata. It is classified under the phylum amphibian. Mass of the salamander animal is 25-30kg. Clutch size is about 400-500 for Chinese giant salamander. Its body length is about 1.2m for Chinese giant salamander and 12-19cm fro Cope’s giant salamander. These are mostly seen in Holarctic Eco zone and Neotropical zone. These are also opportunistic predators. Respiration differs one to other like gills, lings, skin and membranes of mouth and throat. Life span is not determined.

4. Chameleon:

Scientific name of chameleon is chamaeleonidae. It is classified under the classification of Lguania. There are about 202 species in the world. Length of the body is about 35-45cm and differs according to species. Its clutch size is 20-200 for veiled chameleon and 10-40 for panther chameleon. They have the ability of changing the colors according to the environment. Since guanine crystals under the skin makes them to change color. These animals are mostly found in rain forest areas. These are carnivores.

5. Crocodile:

Cuban crocodile (Rhombifer)

Scientific name of crocodile is crocodylinae. It is classified under the classification of crocodiles. These are large aquatic reptiles which live throughout the tropics in Asia, Africa, Australia and America. Mass of the body of the crocodile will be 410 kg and mass varies according to the species. Speed of diving will be 24-2 km/h in water in short bursts. Length of the body will range from 4.3-5.2 for adults and these also vary accordingly. There are total of 14 extant species. These animals are belongs to carnivores. Life span of a crocodile is 70-80 years.

6. Nilgai:

Nilgai

Nilgai is the largest Asian antelope. It is majorly present in India, some parts of southern Nepal and eastern Pakistan. Males has horns where as females don’t.  Males are larger than females. These are herbivores and prefer to live in low hills with shrubs.  These types of animals give birth one at a time and sometimes twins.  Calves usually weigh 14-16 kg at birth. Life span is about 12-13 Years.

7. Lion-Tailed Macaque:

Lion tailed macaque is name of a monkey. It is an old world monkey. Special feature of this animal monkey is it has hair around the face like lion. These belongs to a group of smaller macaques. It weighs about 2-10 Kg. These animals are mostly found in tropical ever green forests. Life span of this monkey is about 20-30 years. Younger one are nursed for one year. These are herbivores and avoid humans.

8. Felidae:

Scientific name of Felidae is Felidae only. It comes under the classification of Feliformia. Felidae is family of cats. These are mammals. Living cats belongs to sub families called Panterinae and felinae. Pantherinae include tiger, lion, jaguar, leopard, clouded leopard and snow leopard. Felinae include non-pantherine cats. All cats are carnivores. Cats have good night vision due to the presence tapetum lucidum which reflects light back inside the eyeball, and give distinctive shine. Life span these animals varies according to cats.

Scientific name of sea lion is Otariine. It is classified under higher classification of Eared Seal. In this world we can see only seven species of sea lions. This group of animals is called as pinnipeds. Sea lions are very compatible to nature where they live. Sea lions are carnivores. This type of animal eat sea food like fishes, crabs etc. Interesting fact of sea lion is they take food 5-8% of their body weight at single feed. Life span of sea lions is 20-30 years.

Wingspan of butterfly is 6.5-8.6 cm and varies according to the species. They feed primarily on nectar from flowers. These are also called as carriers for the pollination of fruits. There are wide ranges of species available in the world. They are compatible to all the natures in the regions. Life span of a butterfly is about 12 months.

Gastropoda comes under the phylum Molluscs. Scientific name of Gastropoda is Gastropoda only. It is classified under the classification of Molluscs. These are commonly called as slugs and snails. There are thousands of species of sea snails, sea slugs, fresh water snails, land slug and land snails are seen. There 611 families. These type  of animals have univalve. These are herbivores. These have shells which act as protective cover for the body.

Crabs come under the phyla crustaceans. Scientific name of crab is brachyuran. It is classified under the classification of pleocyemata. It has short projecting tail usually hidden under the thorax. 21. Bear:

Scientific name bear is Ursidae. It is classified under the classification of Caniformia. It can run up to 48 km/ h in adult stage. Height at the shoulders will be 60-160cm. Its tail length will be 3-22cm and body length will be of 1.2-3m. Vocalization sin bear are moaning, huffing, barking, growling, roaring and humming. They eat most plants but become omnivores in opportunistic conditions.
