Salar Jung museum is the most famous museum in Hyderabad; it is situated in the southern bank of river Musi. This museum has been known to have more 43,000 historical things and 47,000 printed book and 9,000 manuscripts. Other than these it has sculptures, paintings, textiles, aircrafts, carvings, etc., from China, Nepal, Egypt, Japan, North America, etc.

Surendrapuri:

Surendrapuri Museum is not exactly in Hyderabad but a little in distance. This museum was created to spread awareness about Indian Mythology and Hindu Mythology. Kunda Satyanarayana had established this museum and named it after his Surendra, from which it gets the name as well. It includes replicas of over 100 famous temples all over the country with their proper mythological story portrayed.

City Museum:

The City Museum of Hyderabad is inside the palace of Purani Haveli, which is the official residence of the Nizam. The museum had been created in honor of the last Nizam of the state; it is currently also used as a school for industrial training. The museum is famous for its styled terracotta figurines of Europe, coins of the Satavahana period, old objects kept which shows the reign of the Nizams and also gifts and mementos which were given to them with gratitude and respect.

Telangana State Museum:

AP State Museum is situated in Hyderabad’s Public Garden. It has a bright and fresh view of the culture of the state Andhra Pradesh. It is the oldest of all but very well maintained to be kept anew. Archeologist Henry Cousens had explored the place in the 19th Century and later excavated by a Nizam who had decided to place the objects in a museum for which it had been built.
