Shakti Yoga Postures:

1. Yoga Shakti Mat:
To practice Shakti yoga, you must use the Shakti mat. Place it on the bed or another surface which is very soft. You can also place a towel or a soft pillow below your neck. Lie in such a position so that your skin comes in contact with all the acupressure points of your body. Relax and take a few breaths.
2. Back Position Pose:
The first and most basic position in Shakti Yoga is lying on your back. This will help stimulate the acupressure points and the nerves located at the vertebra of your spine. It is best to keep a pillow underneath your neck while you are doing this. Keep your legs still on the floor. Breathe deeply.

3. Jaw Position:
To do the jaw position, simply place your cheek on the Shakti mat. You can use a thin piece of cloth between your face and the mat. After a couple of times you have done this, the cloth can be removed. This position will rejuvenate your face and remove all tensions in your jaw and neck area.
4. Hand Position Posture:
To do the hand position, you need to lie on your back on the Shakti mat and place both your hands in your armpits in the opposite directions. By doing this, you will be able to achieve a balance in your brain and your ability to meditate better will increase. The Shakti mat is ideal for practicing yoga.

5. The Third Eye Pose:
To do the third eye pose, lie on the Shakti mat and place your hands on both your eyes. Inhale and exhale gently. This will bring radiance to your face and also mellow down your thought process. You will feel relaxed, rejuvenated and very fresh after this.
6. Lashanti Position:
For the Lashanti position, you need to place both your hands on the chest; one hand should be above the other. It will open up the chakra, soothe your senses and also calm down your emotions. This position is very good for those who would like to be more compassionate and kind towards others.

7. Maha Shavasana:
The Maha shavasana is good for the back, the buttocks and the neck. It helps you relax better and increases the strength and energy levels in your entire body. It is one of the most common asanas practiced by Maha Shakti yogis as it is the easiest position to do and helps you achieve a good and deep level of meditation.
8. Shom Datta Asana:
The Shom Datta Asana works on your stomach, your legs and your thighs. It opens up your breathing and is a great way to bring out the inner fire in you. This is one of the most essential and important position for those who practice yogashakti daily.
