Has Sally Field had Plastic Surgery?
She is now 66 years old but Sally Field certainly doesn’t look as old as her date of birth would lead us to believe. Originally from California, she was born on November 6th, 1946 and has done well throughout her many years of acting. She has won two Academy awards for “Best Actress” for her roles in the films Places in the Heart in 1984 and Norma Rae in 1979. These days you will perhaps better remember her from her roles in Forrest Gump in 1994, The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012, and also Lincoln in 2012. For those of you that can’t wait to see her in her action once again, you won’t have to wait very long. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be out just next year! (2014) We all loved her in the first one and we are sure that we will love her again in the next! And let’s be honest – we are chomping at the bit for another superhero action.
When you consider that Sally Field is only 4 years away from 70 years old, you can understand where the Sally Field plastic surgery rumors stem from. She looks like a woman much younger that she actually is, but when you take a closer look at her face, you can see signs that plastic surgeons say are down to plastic surgery procedures. Well, so surgeons say anyway…
There are a couple of things that first jump out at you when you look at pictures of this woman – for 66 years old, there is no sagging skin at all. There should be signs of this around her jaw line and neck by now but thankfully for her, there is nothing. Some surgeons say that this could be done to a procedure they call the neck lift which basically removes excess skin from the neck area to give a more youthful look. It’s a surgery sought after by older celebrities and when you consider that sagging skin on the face and neck is one of the first signs of ageing for women, you can understand why. We don’t want to believe that the Sally Field plastic surgery rumours are true but you must admit; she does look very good for her age.
The jaw line smoothness, and the smoothness in her forehead and cheeks, could have been caused by various filler injections such as Botox. There is barely a wrinkle to be seen on this woman, but she doesn’t have the most perfect look on the planet, so this would suggest that some very fine celebrity plastic surgery has taken place.
The smooth and taught skin with even complexion seem to be created with the help of a bit of laser surgery, which is actually a lot more common now than you would first have thought. In fact, the website Webmd.com stated that it was one of the Top 6 Antiaging Breakthroughs!
Also known as CO2 fractional laser therapy, it basically involves fast forwarding the production of collagen in the skin by boring holes into it. Collagen production decreased as you get older which causes the sagging often accompanying the aging process, but by making this tiny holes in the skin with the laser, the collagen is forced to go into production and helps to keep the skin looking plump and more youthful. When you think about it this is barely plastic surgery at all and is just a way to trick nature into thinking you are younger. Would you call that plastic surgery? Or just part of the smart girls guide to looking younger?
It’s amazing but these days, it doesn’t matter how old you are – if you don’t look perfect, it’s just not good enough. With young actresses like Zooey Deschanel coming under scrutiny amidst more celebrity plastic surgery rumors, it would seem that the pressure to look good is now more crushing than ever!
