Cameron Diaz Will Make You Want Matte Orange Lips

Never underestimate the face-brightening, blue eye-enhancing powers of an orange lip.

Cameron Diaz (or at least her makeup artist) seems to know this, as demonstrated at the premiere of Sex Tape in LA on Thursday night.

Cammy paired a soft updo with curtain bangs with long lashes and a bright, perfectly matte orange mouth—nailing the trend we've seen on so many celebs this spring/summer.

Here's the close-up:

See what I mean about those baby blues poppin'? Not that this wouldn't look excellent with any eye colour, of course. (Or skin tone—since we know from Jungle Queen that reddish coral is a universal shade.)

Cameron's makeup artist, Melanie Inglessis, used two products to get this look.

First, NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square, a bright orange-red. (Do you have one of these in your collection yet? I feel like makeup artists use this prod so often…)

Then, over top, she used Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Matte Lacquer in Dazzling to further mattify and bring out the orange:

So perfect, and such a fun summery twist on the usual red. Thoughts?
