From Orange Eyeshadow to Bold Brows: 19 of the Best Celebrity Beauty Looks Lately
It's time for a new batch of celebrity beauty inspiration! This week's looks are all about fresh skin; corals and rosy tones; and naturally textured lashes and brows.
Take a look at the latest skin, hair and makeup:
Thandie Newton
What I like: Thandie's pop of orange eyeshadow up to her crease, framed by black liner hugging the lash line. It doesn't match anything in particular, but it works! (And can you believe she did this herself?) Her skin couldn't be more smooth or flawless. What I'd change: Nothing.
Lily James
What I like: Lily's fluffy, bold brows with flushed cheeks and rosy pink lips. I also love the shimmering brown eyeshadow all the way up to her brows. With her hair soft and wavy, this is such an “English rose” beauty look! What I'd change: Nothing.
Lily is wearing: Moisturizer ‣ Primer ‣ Tinted moisturizer in Medium Light ‣ Concealer ‣ Blush ‣ Bronzer in Medium ‣ Powder ‣ Eyeshadow in Smoky 105 ‣ Liquid liner in Black ‣ Mascara in Black ‣ Lip liner in Pillow Talk ‣ Lipstick in Fire
Salma Hayek
What I like: Salma's shiny, centre-parted hair and what seems like foundation-free skin. (Still so amazed at the quality of her skin! These are her secrets.) The warm brick lipstick looks great with simple black liner and brown shadow. What I'd change: I'd just blend her lip liner a bit, but it's not big deal.
Emily Ratajkowski
What I like: Emily's shimmery yellow-gold eyeshadow, applied all the way around her eyes—but especially at the lower inner corners, which makes it more current. With the pale orange lipstick and her tan, this is so summery and beachy. Natural lashes and loose hair keep her from looking too “done.” What I'd change: Nothing.
Emily is wearing: Primer ‣ Foundation in Y370 ‣ Highlighter in 50 Dew You? ‣ Concealer in 4 Late Show ‣ Powder in 400 Golden Fawn ‣ Setting spray ‣ Bronzer in Tantric 102 ‣ Blush in 502 Lines & Last Night ‣ Eyeshadow in Glambition ‣ Eyeliner in Sunset 74 ‣ Mascara in Noir ‣ Brow pencil in Medium Brown 6 ‣ Brow gel ‣ Lipstick in In The Mood 152 ‣ Illuminator in Spotlight (on body)
AnnaSophia Robb
What I like: AnnaSophia's luminous skin and strong brows. This look isn't so much about colour but texture—her lashes are super-soft and I love the definition through her brows. What I'd change: I'd grow out her brow tails for a straighter, more unified shape.
Selena Gomez
What I like: Selena's bright red lipstick (so precisely applied) and wavy brunette bob. I like that her brows were left natural, and her skin has a nice bronzey glow. Her lashes are soft, not stiff. What I'd change: Her foundation seems a little heavy in places.
Selena is wearing: Lipstick in Oh Miley 200
Emily Blunt
What I like: Emily's fresh skin, and the fact that we can still see her freckles. I never like heavy makeup on her, so this light peach gloss and matching blush are perfect. Although I prefer her brunette, the soft waves are pretty. What I'd change: The lashes are heavy, and I don't love the look of the filler in her upper lip!
Emily is wearing: Blush in Blossoming ‣ Lipstick in Honor
Olivia Culpo
What I like: Olivia's pinky mauve lip gloss. She always looks amazing in these cool tones! It's balanced by strong brows, soft lashes and cat eyeliner. I really like the undone ponytail, too. What I'd change: The contour on her nose isn't blended… and I wouldn't have done such exaggerated eyeliner curls.
Olivia is wearing: Moisturizer ‣ Primer ‣ Foundation in 023 and 123 ‣ Foundation in Honey 43 (as contour) ‣ Concealer in Ocher ‣ Blush in Kingpin ‣ Blush in Free Soul ‣ Bronzer in Bronze Age ‣ Powder ‣ Powder ‣ Highlighter in Luminous Light (as highlighter and eyeshadow) ‣ Highlighter in Reflect Gilt ‣ Eyeshadow in Painterly ‣ Eyeshadow in Decade and Miami ‣ Eyeliner ‣ Mascara (top lashes) ‣ Mascara (bottom lashes) ‣ Brow mascara ‣ Lipstick in Moon Orchid ‣ Body shimmer
Zoey Deutch
What I like: Zoey's negative space eyeliner in an unexpected maroon shade. She's wearing it with matching lipstick for a monochromatic effect… and it even matches her newly red hair. How incredible are her brows?! What I'd change: I'm actually not crazy about this hair colour (brown was better with her skin). Her lip liner needs blending, and I'd tweeze a few hairs here and there.
Halle Berry
What I like: Halle's long, face-framing bangs and high bun. Such a cute hairstyle on her! We rarely see her in bright makeup, and this look is no exception. The lashes define her eyes, but the lipstick, eyeshadow and blush (if she's even wearing any blush) are all light nudes. What I'd change: She looks great, but it would be amazing, for once, to see some colour!
Léa Seydoux
What I like: Léa's orangey-red lipstick and wavy long bob. We've seen other celebs wearing these things, but on her, it's just more chic… must be those French genes! Note how the mascara is only on her upper lashes, and how the silver shimmer subtly picks up the light. What I'd change: Nothing.
Kate Mara
What I like: Kate's smoky eyes with berry lipstick. Often, strong eyes and strong lips becomes “too much,” but that's far from the case here. The casual ponytail, soft lashes and brows are all key. Look closely, and you'll see the eyeshadow is actually two-toned: greenish-grey on the top and plummy brown on the bottom. What I'd change: Nothing.
Halston Sage
What I like: Halston's gorgeous skin and light coral lipstick… I don't know what this shade is, but I need it immediately! It's echoed in her sheer eyeshadow, and she's also wearing a gold liner at her inner corners. Her voluminous waves aren't too perfect. What I'd change: They're not too bad, but I think her false lashes could be more fluffy.
Michelle Williams
What I like: Michelle's platinum pixie and super-understated makeup. With her colouring, it would be easy to overdo it, so this sheer peach lip and flushed cheeks are great. With her eye shape, it's all about the lashes. What I'd change: Nothing.
Meghan Markle
What I like: Meghan's coral lipstick and sheer skin finish. I hear she always insists that her makeup artists let her freckles show through! I like the loose bun, with the one piece escaping to frame her face. What I'd change: Her bronzer/contour is too concentrated in that one spot.
Kristen Bell
What I like: Kristen's sleek, straight hair in a deep side part. The makeup is a modern take on a '60s cat eye and white eyeshadow. I really think she suits a clean, classic look like this. When she tries to be too glam/sexy, it doesn't work! What I'd change: Nothing.
Michelle Pfeiffer
What I like: Michelle's warm coral blush and lip gloss. The eye makeup is soft and smudgy, framed by jet-black natural lashes. And what a mane of hair she has… at age 59! What I'd change: Generally, I prefer brushed-out curls. It looks like some pieces missed the curling iron, as they are still straight!
Blake Lively
What I like: Blake's incredible long, thick, honey-toned waves, with the front pinned to one side. I also like this coral lipstick (so much coral this week!) and matching eyeshadow. What I'd change: I think a brow gel would add more polish, and she'd be a great candidate for microblading a straighter brow line.
Leslie Mann
What I like: Leslie's red lipstick and super-defined natural lashes. Her brows received the same treatment—even though she doesn't have a lot of hair, every one is emphasized. What I'd change: The curls are fun for a change, but I think straight hair is her best look.
