From Rose-Gold Hair to Marsala Lipstick: 11 of the Best Celebrity Beauty Looks Lately

I love that this week's celebrity hair and makeup pics are so diverse! Isn't it great that there's no one beauty trend that everyone has to follow? Here, you'll spot everything from shimmer under the eyes to wine-stained lips to yellow eyeshadow.

These are my favourite beauty looks of the moment:

Mischa Barton

What I like: Mischa's fluffy, blown-out hair. It's so nice to see one of my former beauty crushes back on the red carpet, looking more gorgeous than ever! This blonde (with touches of rose gold at the ends) is more flattering than her former brassy tones. And I adore her makeup—defined but not heavy eyes, with nude lips that still have life to them. What I'd change: Nothing. (I can actually live with the nose-contouring.)

Gal Gadot

What I like: Gal's rich, perfectly-applied marsala lipstick. The contrast against her warm skin is just amazing, especially with her chest and shoulders exposed, and her hair up and off her face. The metallic copper rimming her eyes is also a fun nod to her sequinned dress. I like her natural brows and un-Botoxed skin. What I'd change: I think this would've been better without the false lashes.

Anna Kendrick

What I like: Anna's purple winged eyeshadow. Who says cat eyes have to be in black? This is softer on her ultra-pale complexion, and way more creative. I've never seen her hair looking this glamorous and dramatic—those off-the-face, cascading waves are perfect with the plunging neckline. I love that dress! What I'd change: I don't like the over-lined lips, which are always more believable if they're matte. I also feel like the black liner in her waterlines is a tad harsh (Mischa's is better).

Dakota Fanning

What I like: Dakota's skin and brows. Those Fanning sisters are blessed with the most flawless complexions and on-trend brows! A decade ago, these arches would've been considered “messy,” but now I appreciate that she didn't pluck away the stray hairs. The rest of the look is equally natural: her own lashes, sheer gloss and Boho waves with skinny ends. What I'd change: Nothing.

Ali Larter

What I like: Ali's vibrant fuchsia mouth. This pink isn't too cold; it has a yellow undertone, and is so pretty with her skin tone and blonde hair. I don't mind her dewy sheen one bit, because her skin just glows with health. The messy updo looks youthful and effortless. What I'd change: The lashes are a tad heavy, but okay. I'm wondering if a slightly darker, warmer blonde might suit her—this one has a lot of root contrast.

Christina Milian

What I like: Christina's radiant skin, cat eyes and freckles. See how freckles make dramatic makeup instantly better? I feel like they help balance it out, somehow. These wings were draw on with impressive precision, and I like that the lashes are not a distraction. What I'd change: Ugh, I blame J.Lo for starting this inexplicable trend of goopy grey gloss with mismatched lip liner.

Elle Fanning

What I like: Elle's creative take on colour-blocking. Few people could ever hope to look this good in yellow eyeshadow! No, it's not “pretty,” but it's artistic, and I love that. Also, see how the lips are about the same intensity, and both have a somewhat blurred quality? Elle's makeup artist is always dreaming up something new. Bare lashes, natural brows, fresh skin and smooth hair keep the focus on the colours. What I'd change: Nothing.

Jennifer Connelly

What I like: Jennifer's tight updo and straight, “masculine” brows—both make for a powerful beauty statement, without requiring a ton of makeup. Compared to last week, her eye makeup is softer but her brows are stronger. I love the definition of the lower lashes. What I'd change: Nothing.

Emma Roberts

What I like: Emma's stained, deep berry lips with a rounded shape. So good with her pale skin and dark brows, huh? The other interesting touch is the hint of peachy blush—I actually love it when blush isn't matchy. It also doesn't even look like she's wearing foundation. She has such nice skin! What I'd change: I'm still not loving her as a blonde, especially at this length. I think having it super-long would look better in a more natural (brown) colour.

Kristen Stewart

What I like: Kristen's silver inner-corner eyeliner. The effect is simply amazing with defined but natural lashes, and taupe eyeshadow across the lids. Don't you want to try this tonight?! The mid-pink lips are a playful touch. What I'd change: We've already talked about this, but the rooty bleached blonde is not doing it for me. Also, I spot a stray nose hair.

Isla Fisher

What I like: Isla's modern, touchable, retro waves. Sure, it's not the most trendy hairstyle right now, and she's done it a million times before, but her hair does look incredible here. I also like her brow fans. What I'd change: It's not “wrong,” but I'd love to see her experiment with different makeup, instead of always having red lips. I also feel her skin could use a touch of luminizing—it's so matte.
