Megan Fox is Giving Me Serious Skin Envy Here
Megan Fox has been out promoting her new film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, lately (yes, they're back… and no, I never want to see that), and she's look looking pretty incroyable.
In the makeup department, at least. We've already talked about her experiments with injectables, which thankfully seem more toned-down now, compared to her scary stage in 2010. I also think she's wearing hair extensions… but in Hollywood, who isn't?
Me, I'm just here for the glowy skin, sparkly eyes and brows. Remember what her brows used to be like? Megan gets the MIB award for Most Improved Brows.
Before we get to the close-up, here's the head-to-toe:
Not a fan of the Marc Jacobs dress with the Louboutin shoes, but let me remind you that this is a mother of two, who gave birth to her second in February.
(Ah well, maybe we our figures would be the same if we had access to the same crew of trainers and nutritionists.)
Now on to the good stuff, the close-up:
See what I mean about skin envy? Her complexion is so radiant here, I'm jellis.
Megan's makeup artist, Monika Blunder, used a whole bunch of prestige prodz to achieve this look. Here's exactly what to do:
The Skin
Start with a light application of NARS Pro-Prime Pore Refining Primer.
Next, use a brush to apply a sheer layer of La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF 15 in Honey Beige all over the face. “This foundation has great coverage, so a little goes a long way,” says Monika. “Keep it natural by using just a small amount.”
Monika also used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard to cover imperfections:
And then set the complexion with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.
To add colour and soft contours, Monika lightly dusted Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Medium all over.
To make the cheeks pop with a healthy dose of colour, she dusted Lorac Baked Matte Satin Blush in Exposed just on the apples.
The finishing skin touch was Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette to highlight the cheekbones and the bridge of the nose.
The Brows
Monika filled in Megan's brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown.
To keep them in place on a humid day, she added a touch of Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown.
The Eyes
Monika started by smudging Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Colour Morphing Eye Shadow Pencil for Green Eyes in Amethyst Aphrodisiac along the lash lines, blending it up and out to elongate the eyes. She smudged the same liner into the lower lash lines and blended it out.
Next, she intensified the lines with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero, smudged into the upper lash lines. “Blending the liners out was key so that the overall look was smoky but still soft,” says Monika.
All over the lids, she lightly dusted the top right colour from the Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Seductive Rose.
To brighten the eyes, she highlighted the inner corners with Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Sunshower.
After curling the lashes, Monika applied two Kiss Ever EZ Lashes Trio Lashes to each eye. “These lashes are great because they give the look of individual lashes, but it is done three times faster.”
Finally, Dior Diorshow Mascara in Catwalk Black on the top and bottom lashes completed the eye look.
The Lips
“As the focus of the makeup was on the eyes, I went for a neutral rose tone, Tom Ford Lip Color in Spanish Pink, to accentuate her natural lip colour and to compliment the purple smoky eyes,” says Monika.
Another look at how it all came together:
That was a lot of products the makeup artist used… but Megan looks so naturally glam here, huh?
