But first let’s set some ground rules. What constitutes a letter tattoo? Does it have to be JUST letters or contain some letters? For the purposes of this post, we’ll share some tattoos that have letter that significantly contribute to the awesomeness of the tattoo.

So, for example, we may have some tattoos that are just plain letters but the meaning or the tattoo itself is cool. And we may have some tattoos that are a picture and letters either explaining the picture or making it look prettier.

So yeah, the letter tattoos that you’re about to see next are awesome and are both just letters and pictures. But there are some things you need to consider before getting one, so pay attention.

Some artists refuse to tattoo letters under the argument that “they’re no writers” and more importantly, because letters and typography can be easily messed up because of the movement and shape of your body.
